Well hello again! It has been a while since I have posted a blog, so we have quite a bit of catching up to do! Steven's funeral was Monday and his father came to campus today to talk to the team and get his belongings from his dorm. Unfortunately, I was in a class that I couldn't skip, so I missed out on that. I'm sure it was a very emotional meeting, much like the others we have had.
We found out Bella's birthday! December 14, which means we got her when she was five and a half weeks old and she will be eight weeks this Saturday. She is a spunky little thing. She is completely comfortable in her surroundings and has take over the house. I am always amused by her when she is in the middle of playing and the she takes off to the back of the house, trust me she is FAST! She loves to climb. She will climb up your leg to get into your lap when she wants attention. It's adorable. She will still cry when you leave the room and she doesn't want you to, but she doesn't want to follow you. Bella is determined to play with Tiger, but Tiger is determined to ignore Bella.
Bella moved out of the bathroom! She is now sleeping in my room. She is always finding little places to sleep. Her favorites are under my dresser, under my chest of drawers, under the bed, and most recently on my pillow. Last night I woke up to her purring beside my head several times and a few times it was her biting my ear wanting to play. She got to meet the family last week, including Auntie Melanie and Uncle Joey. Of course they all adored her, but who couldn't?
I have been knitting quite a bit! When I get my computer working again I will be posting some pictures of the finished projects I've done. I have made several baby things for my good friend Michelle, and I must say I am quite pleased with them. It has been a learning experience that's for sure! I enjoy making the baby hats and such, they are so much faster than the regular stuff. I like projects that you get done in a few days, instead of a few weeks. Instant gratification.
On the track side of things... Practice went really well yesterday! It is amazing what some sunshine and warm weather will do for me. I am a warm weather vaulter that's for sure! Our next meet is tomorrow at App! YAY! Next week is conference championships at URI, so this is it! Almost done with my indoor career completely. Better end on a good note, huh? Well that's my plan. I have a game plan in my head for tomorrow and I'm sticking to it! Of course I will give a post meet update asap.
Here is a picture of Bella and her siblings. (She is the one on the far right.) I can't believe she was the last one! I think, and so do several others, that she was the best looking kitten in the litter. She would have definitely been my pick of the litter. Again, when I get my computer working I will post some more recent pictures of her. :)
