Okay so the past year has had some pretty sucky stuff happen, but it's had some ridiculously amazing things happen too. I suppose that is life, isn't it? We take the good with the bad. Well, everything seems to be fitting right into place now! It's just one good thing after another. I don't think I could be any more excited about whats going on in my life right now.
I haven't mentioned it on here yet, but I'm sure most of you know straight from my own mouth that I got a new job! Yes, I'm very excited. It's by no means a "perfect job", but it is a HUGE step in the right direction! So Monday I start my new job with BB&T. It should be fun. I have two full time weeks of paid training. (YAY!!) After that I am a little unsure, but I should be doing just fine. It's not full time yet, but they seem to think it wont take long before I am full time and have benefits. I hope so! Once I accept a full time position I have to stay in that position for 18 months, but from what I understand they will pay for me to go back to school. So if I start working on a MBA by the time that 18 months rolls around and I'm ready to apply to a new job and move up the latter, I could have my masters! (Maybe... I need to check the fine print on the going back to school thing.) So that's exciting! Finally a big girl job!
Friday we went shopping for gowns! It was so much fun. I tried on six. (Four that were my favorites and two more we found.) Well we narrowed it down to one! But we didn't get it that day. As we were leaving we were flipping through a bridesmaid gown book and I was saying kinda what I was thinking about and asking Kali's opinion. (She needs to like it since she is going to be one of the ones wearing it, right?) So we ended up saying "Oh I like that one!" I'm not sure who said it first, but we both said it. So Tiffany said "We have it do you want to try it on?" Why not! So of course, Kali looked like a knock out in it. (Big surprise there! She would look hot in a trash bag.) As we were trying on that one, my mom mentioned she wanted a one shoulder dress for my wedding. So Tiffany said "We have some. Do you want to try one on?" Why not! She tried on two and of course, loved the second one. So yes, she ordered her dress that day! Crazy right!?
Monday we went back with Melanie and Amber so they could see the dress. I didn't want to order it before most of my girls tried it on. I don't want them in something they hate or don't look good in. Well, they both liked it and looked amazing in it! Three out of four? That's not bad! (Poor Anna in Michigan isn't going to get to try it on first...) So we decided to go ahead an order them. Well, they aren't ordered yet, still waiting on two girls to get their stuff in, but there is no rush since we are 13 months out. I did email a picture to Anna and she loved it! Four out of four! Can't get better than that! It's unreal! We picked a gown out of a book and tried on only one and done! That seems too simple! I ended up ordering my gown on Monday too. Check, check, check! Pretty amazing!
We decided to have little Shelby as our flower girl. (This is a good story too.) When we were at Ellie's we were looking at the little girl dresses and they are more expensive that the big girl dresses! That is ridiculous! At least the big girls might be able to wear theirs again! So my mom went to her chiropractor and there is this super nice kids consignment shop call Lullabyes beside it. Can you believe they had three little white dresses right about Shelby's size? Not one, but THREE! Oh and they are precious! The woman who owns the shop says that there is a mother who is always bringing in her little girl's pageant dresses that have only been worn ONCE! That's practically brand new! After talking to Shelby's daddy, he said to get one. So today we went and picked up Shelby's dress for $27 with tax and all! Even if it has to be altered a little, it will be a lot cheaper than buying a brand new one and it is so precious! She is going to look adorable! I already have some ideas I'm going to run by Miss Ellie to see if we can personalize it a little just for little Shelby. It has a tie around the waste that I'm thinking about replacing with a purple sash so she can match my bridesmaids. I'm pretty excited about it. She will look darling!
So with 13 months to go this is our check list:
Church- booked
Pine Lake- booked
Preacher- booked
My dress- ordered
Mom's dress- ordered
Shelby's dress- check
Bridesmaid dresses- check (Just need to be ordered)
That's a lot done 13 months out! It almost seemed to easy, but we'll go with it!
Of course I can't have a post without mentioning Bella. She is back to 100% and off the meds! YAY!! Her little legs are getting their hair back. She has been extra adventurous the past few days. She almost caught a humming bird, and that takes some serious talent. We got a butterfly bush in the yard now too, so she likes to watch, and chase, the butterflies. She caught one yesterday, but I stopped her before she hurt it too bad. She's so cute! I am so glad to have her back to normal.
