Father Time... Please Be Nice

Days like today make me miss a few very important people in my life. For starters that wonderful fiance of mine, but that's a given. Only about a month left to go! (Give or take a week or two...) It's been a loooooooong year that's for sure. I'm getting anxious. It seems like time is standing still at this point. It was trucking right along pretty fast for a while, but somewhere along the way someone put on the breaks and now it's barely creeping! That's just not right! Soon. Very soon...

I had a good long chat with my Kali the other day too. (About two hours to be exact! My phone died and cut it off. So sad.) But it made me miss her even more too! I miss our long chats over Mexican food. Sitting in class together, and skipping occasionally. (Only the boring psychology classes we aced anyways.) Now shes all the way in Charleston going to law school and we don't get to see each other as often as we would like. She may be coming to Charlotte at the end of August. So about a month and a half until I see her gorgeous face!

I've been playing phone tag for a couple months with Anna. Another face I long to see. It's been a year and a half since I've seen my bestest buddy from childhood. Michigan is just too far away! One of these days I'm going to get her on the phone and figure something out to remedy this situation. She's a busy, busy girl. Grad school, a couple jobs, internship, and of course a social life. I'm not sure how she does it, but I'm guessing very little sleep and a lot of coffee is involved.

So this raises a question... What's the deal!? Charlotte is a lovely place to live. My solution would be simple. COME BACK! Why must we all grow up and move away? It's just not fair sometimes. All the little pieces of my heart are scattered all over the world. One thing is for sure. October 2011 they will ALL be here together! (With my Charlotte loves too of course. I'm not forgetting you guys! I'm glad all of you are still here.) Once we get passed the next month to month and a half, things will start looking up. If only time wouldn't drag it's big 'ol clonky feet.
