A Case of the Mondays

Oh Mondays... The welcome back to reality after the oh so relaxing weekend.

This was a beautiful weekend! I love this time of the year. When the leaves are changing colors and the weather is just perfect. The trees have amazed me this year. The vibrant reds, orange and yellow have never been more impressive. Its times like these that I know God is an artist. And the weather, warm during the day and cool at night. Perfect for a bonfire! Which is exactly what we did this weekend. Saturday we spent the night around a small bonfire with some good friends. We had so much fun while relaxing at the same time.

And now... Back to the busy work week, school, track, and other obligations. I think sometimes we get so busy during the week that we end up wasting a portion of our lives. I know I have often found myself wishing for the weekend on Monday or Tuesday, but what about the other 3 days? We get up go to school or work for most of the day and all the while we are on auto-pilot. By the time we get home we are too tired to do much of anything and then another day of our life is done. I hear people all the time saying "live for the day" or "don't let today get away", and they are right. We should enjoy our lives. Work is a necessary evil, but that shouldn't prevent you from having a job you enjoy and having fun in your life. I am trying to take that into account now that I am looking for a job. I want to be able to get up every day and go to work, but not dread it. So with that the job search begins!!
