Just Another Day

Hello all! I wish I had a ton of cool things to rattle off, but the life of a girl who has a boyfriend that is deployed is really not that interesting and actually kinda dull. Or maybe that's just me. I have moved on to the next "phase" I guess you would call it. Phase one was "poor pitiful me." Two was "learning to be single temporarily." Now I am in the "sleeping with the phone" phase. This is one that never goes away really, it just kinda tags along through the rest of the cycle. I bet you can guess what happens. Waiting. Lots and lots of waiting. I guess that's what a majority of this year is, but I would say having done this once, a lot of time is spent waiting for the call, text, email or whatever it may be. Patience is something that you must learn when you are dating or married to a military man.

I am hoping next weekend will be different since Kali is coming to town! I am super excited about that. I didn't realize Labor Day was this weekend, but it is and that means Kali! I haven't seen her in forever it seems... But it wont be long and I will be having a quesadilla day with my dear friend. I am excited to hear about her adventures at law school. Yep, my friend the lawyer, or will be once Charleston is done with her and I couldn't be more proud of her. I have amazing friends and way to often I take that for granted.

The high lite of my day was definitely shopping at Broadway Shoes. I found the cutest pair of shoes on the sale rack. I spent more than I normally spend, but that's because I usually spend less than $10 for my shoes at Kohl's and they don't fit as well as I would like. These were $100 heels by Micheal Shannon that I got for $29.99 tax and all. The name means nothing to me, but he had all kinds of shoes there. Adorable shoe! I bought a dark purple pair. I know, purple? Trust me they are gorgeous and they fit like a glove! I have a hard time finding dress shoes that fit me, the result of having an extremely small and narrow foot. However, Micheal Shannon's 5 1/2 fits perfect! I couldn't pass it up. Mom bought me a black pair that wasn't on sale, just the Broadway price which is already cheaper than the retail price, but I can't have them until Christmas. There is no question where I will be buying my shoes from now on. Micheal Shannon has won me over! :)
