Hello bloggers! Well if you weren't aware, the Christmas shoppers are out and they are out with a vengeance. It seems like almost every customer that comes in the store needs to take a chill pill and just calm down. Everyone is hurting this year, that's no secret, but that doesn't mean you take it out on the retail workers. Speaking from a retail worker's perspective I can honestly say that people who come in with an attitude, usually don't get the best service.
For example, when someone comes with this attitude and treating me like scum beneath their feet, I usually don't help them out. I have turned many people away with returns or refused to accept coupons for this reason. There are some rules at our store than can be bent a little depending on the customer, but for people like that I will not under any circumstance bend the rules. However, if they come in and don't have a stick up their butt and actually treat me with a little respect, I am more likely to work with them and want to help them out. For people like this I will take a coupon I'm not supposed to or return something we technically aren't supposed to.
I can't even count how many rude customers I had today. It seems like every time I turned around they were there. So moral of this blog is, don't treat retail workers like crap. They will be much more likely to serve you better if you just treat them with a little respect, which isn't too much to offer is it?
