I have been blogging quite a bit lately, but I find it very comforting. Today's blog will be different than the past few. I'm not venting about school since school is over! Praise the Lord. This one is more along those lines... religious stuff.
I have come to realize people believe different things. A lot of different things. Anyone will say that there is something about Christianity that sets it apart from the other religions. That is because it is the one true religion. I know people will argue that, but I'm not going to beat around the bush about it, you're wrong. Jesus Christ was God's son. He did live a perfect life and was born of a virgin. The Bible is God breathed and if you don't believe the whole thing, you can not claim Christ as your Lord and Savior. It has not been tarnished by human hands, see more on the Dead Sea Scrolls if you want proof. Jesus did die on the cross, He was not unconscious, He was dead! Three days later He rose from the dead, the disciples did not steal the body and "claim" they saw Him. To steal the body there would have to be a body to steal, it was gone because He already rose from the grave. This is all straight from the Bible and all 100% true.
I have also come to realize that spiritual warfare is so incredibly strong in today's society. The devil will use anything or anyone to try to get good Christians to fall. I have witnessed this first hand. Money, television, computers, video games, relationships, sex, etc. All are very powerful tools of the devil. The devil has no standards, so to stoop very low is not beyond him, in fact that is where he strikes the most. Demons are still used too. They can still posses people and I have no doubt they do.
I have also realized the problem in today's world is simply people. We are the reason this world is so full of sin. We are the reason sin exists. It is through all these sins that the world has fallen to its current state. I don't know how far God will let it fall, but you can bet that He is weeping for this world. His people are disrespectful, arrogant, selfish, immoral, lacking self control, and overall just consumed by sin. A great population wants nothing to do with God. Isn't that a slap in the face? The perfect creator who wants nothing more than to love you and bless you, but you think you are too good to have Him in your life.
On the bright side, I have realized that God will ALWAYS have His perfect will done. If it is not in His will He will intervene. It was His will for Jonah to go to Nineveh. Jonah didn't want to, but guess where he ended up? Right where God wanted Him. I find comfort in that. Here's something else to think about... If God doesn't like it in the Bible, He still doesn't like it! If He said not to do something in the Bible, that still stands too! So if you are in a situation that is not Biblical and you are a child of God, He will intervene. He might let you go so far in your situation, giving you a choice to chose His will not yours. If you don't choose His will, He will choose it for you, only it could be at a cost.
I have also realized that God answer's prayer. The Bible says to come to the Lord in prayer and to come boldly! Speaking from experience, I have come to the throne boldly but it seems like my prayers were hitting the ceiling and coming back down. I know this isn't true even though it feels like it. I am a child of God. I claim Christ very proudly and I know that God has heard my prayers. I know He will answer my prayers, I am confident by this, but it will be in His time not mine. I pray for God's will to be done and I know that in time it will be.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."-Romans 8:28
