A Very Merry Christmas Indeed

In a flurry of multicolored paper, glitter, carols, and plenty of food Christmas came and went. It is always sad to me when it's over. After Thanksgiving the Christmas decorations go up and you anticipate the arrival of Christmas morning, but then in a flash it's over. I enjoy every moment of Christmas while its here and yesterday was no exception.
We didn't wake up early this year, instead I slept in and had a lazy morning. That is until Santa showed up. I don't mean showing up for presents, he had already done that, although they were still under the tree unopened. We got Kodi's picture with Santa, he was so cute! Terra being antisocial as usual didn't like Santa at all. (Kodi is about to give Santa kiss.)

The James came over and we were playing around with Kodi and we ended up with this adorable picture. I am amazed he kept the hat on his head long enough to get a few pictures.

Finally, we were ready to open presents! This is the last year for our Christmas tree. We got a new one for next year. This tree is still beautiful, but it will be going into storage until I have a house of my own! (Mom gave it to me and I am not about to say no to any Christmas decorations, we already know I'm a fanatic about that.) The pictures really don't do it justice.

I couldn't miss the stocking pictures. Four of them were too heavy to stay up and so is the one on the right, but I put a thumb tack in it, hung it on the garland, and put tape on it so it would stay.

We had a nice lunch followed my a lazy afternoon until we had dinner with the Garzoni clan. Overall it was a lovely holiday. James enjoyed his first Christmas with the Garzonis and tomorrow we will experience the Mackays' Christmas. I will let you know how that goes later. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking towards an even better New Years!
